Morocco’s Tourism Office (ONMT) is increasing efforts to promote the country’s tourism assets worldwide, including for North American travelers.

The tourism office issued a new statement today, announcing a major roadshow with the goal of promoting Morocco as a top destination for North American travel professionals.

“It’s a bold charm operation,” ONMT said, noting that it is launching the initiative on North American soil, including Toronto, Boston, and Chicago, with the three destinations hosting a roadshow from April 7-10.

“The goal? Turn curiosity into desire, and desire into business,” ONMT said in the press release, noting that the major roadshow includes workshops to present an inspiring, warm, and attractive Morocco to tour operators and travel agents from the three major cities.

“Through carefully curated immersive experiences, North American professionals will be invited to live Morocco: its atmosphere, cuisine, hospitality, craftsmanship, and culture will all be showcased to spark emotions and desires,” ONMT said in its statement.

ONMT said its roadshow comes as the tourism office is strengthening cooperation to increase air routes, establishing connections between American destinations and primary tourist destinations like Marrakech.

The air routes include Montreal-Marrakech with Air Transat, New York-Marrakech with United Airlines, and most recently, Atlanta-Marrakech with Delta Airlines.

“These routes complement Royal Air Maroc’s traditional connections: Casablanca-New York, Casablanca-Washington, Casablanca-Miami, and Casablanca-Montreal.

ONMT launched a series of similar initiatives to promote Morocco’s tourism assets.

The latest initiative was announced earlier this month to promote the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as part of the preparatory campaign for the tournament that will take place in the North African country later this year.

The office also organized last week a Pan-Africa workshop to boost tourism across Africa.

The symposium brought together tourism representatives, experts, and major players from the hotel and airline industries.
