Cooperation between Morocco and Spain is an example of a “mutually beneficial” partnership, stated the President of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol.

“Morocco and Spain have developed exemplary cooperation in the management of migratory flows and circular migration,” emphasized Armengol in a statement to MAP, on the sidelines of Summit of Speakers of Parliaments and the 18th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PA-UfM), held in Malaga.

The constant and sustained cooperation between Morocco and Spain, as well as their joint action in various areas, is beginning to bear fruit, particularly in economic exchanges, thus paving the way for a promising future for both peoples.

Moreover, Armengol praised the success of the Spanish presidency of the PA-UfM and commended the efforts made by the Moroccan Parliament to promote cooperation between the two shores of the Mediterranean.

For his part, the Vice-President of the Spanish Senate, Javier Maroto, stated in a similar declaration that Morocco is “a friendly country and a key partner” in migration management.

“Morocco has always been a friend of Spain,” noted Maroto, welcoming the distinguished relations between the two neighboring countries.
