Nucleon Security, the Moroccan startup specializing in AI-powered cybersecurity, has raised €3 million in a seed funding round, with significant participation from Orange Ventures.

This strategic investment aims to strengthen the company’s platform, “Agentic AI,” which provides proactive, automated cybersecurity solutions to businesses and public institutions. By joining forces, Nucleon and Orange Morocco are setting the stage for a more secure digital ecosystem across Africa.

Since joining the Orange Fab Morocco accelerator program, Nucleon Security has benefited from operational and strategic support to accelerate its development.

The collaboration allows Nucleon to integrate its agentic AI systematically across all its solutions, offering proactive and automated cybersecurity accessible to large enterprises, SMEs, and public institutions.

This integration is designed to make SOC teams more efficient in responding to cyber threats in real-time.

The startup’s partnership with Orange Morocco provides more than funding— it ensures strategic alignment with a major player in the African digital market.

Together, they aim to deliver turnkey solutions and SaaS offerings powered by AI, creating competitive advantages for organizations facing increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. This cooperation positions Casablanca as a hub for cybersecurity innovation in the region.

Nucleon Security’s innovative approach and track record were recognized when CEO Anas Chanaa won the Cybersecurity category at the GITEX Africa Supernova Challenge in 2023. The accolade propelled the company’s potential and set the stage for a broader impact on Africa’s cybersecurity scene.

Scaling cybersecurity solutions across Africa

With the €3 million investment, Nucleon Security and Orange Morocco aim to accelerate the industrialization of the Agentic AI platform.

The funding enables expansion into multiple African countries including Morocco, Tunisia, and Senegal, and targets large enterprises, SMEs, and public institutions with advanced, adaptive cybersecurity solutions.

The collaboration ensures that Nucleon’s AI-powered tools, such as Zero Trust Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Malprob AI for malware analysis, are fully integrated and optimized for enterprise needs.

Orange’s operational expertise and regional reach amplify Nucleon’s ability to respond to threats efficiently.

By combining Orange Morocco’s digital infrastructure and Nucleon Security’s AI technology, the partnership enhances real-time monitoring, operational efficiency, and threat anticipation.

SOC teams gain a strategic advantage in managing increasingly complex cyberattacks, reinforcing the overall digital resilience of organizations.

Looking ahead, the Nucleon-Orange partnership will expand Morocco’s role in Africa’s cybersecurity sector. Focusing on secure, inclusive, and sustainable digital ecosystems, the alliance targets enterprises across the continent to support digital transformation and reduce cyber risks.
