The Libyan News Agency highlighted on Tuesday that Morocco’s under-20 football team achieved a feat whose impact resonates throughout the Arab world and across the African continent
The agency described the Atlas Lions’ Cubs’ victory at the U20 World Cup in Chile over Argentina (2-0) as historic and unprecedented, following a suspense-filled final.
The U20 national team delivered a heroic performance against a formidable rival, Argentina, which holds the record for the most titles in this competition (six), in what the agency called a “crazy final” that kept fans on edge until the final whistle.
This title crowns long-term efforts in both the technical and administrative aspects of national football, further solidifying Morocco’s position as a rising power on the global football stage.
The Libyan agency also noted that, with this world title, Morocco has become the first Arab team to reach the top of the podium in the history of the U20 World Cup.
