The studio set up by Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) in Laayoune forms part of the Agency’s strategy aiming to bolster its regional presence and support the economic, social and cultural development momentum in the Kingdom’s southern provinces.
Through this studio, MAP aims to enrich the local and regional media landscape with real added value and shed the light on the structuring projects of the Southern Provinces Development Model, launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, mainly in the fields of economy, infrastructure, education and health, aiming to elevate the region into a national and continental economic hub.

In this regard, Fatima El Amine, regional director of the Communication Department in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, noted that this studio is capable of contributing to enhancing the quality of journalistic work in the region, thanks to this professional platform that enables the production of quality content and supports the development dynamic underway at the local and regional levels.
This structure also aims to promote institutional communication and the region’s territorial attractiveness, and to highlight the progress made in various sectors, she said, noting that this studio reflects a vision of openness to the regional environment in the service of development objectives.
