Outgoing INTERPOL President, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi, stated on Thursday in Marrakech that the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI has established security and stability as a true pillar for development and the promotion of international cooperation.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 93rd session of the INTERPOL General Assembly, held from November 24 to 27, Al-Raisi expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of the INTERPOL family, his deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for His support of this international event, emphasizing that the experience of the participants at this major global security gathering “will remain etched in the Organization’s annals.”
He added that the Kingdom’s hosting of this session is “a message of confidence sent to the world” and demonstrates Morocco’s ability to host major international events, including the 2030 World Cup.
After praising the high level of organization that characterized the session’s proceedings, Al-Raisi noted that the Kingdom presented the world with an exemplary model of professionalism and organizational rigor.
He also assured that INTERPOL will continue to stand alongside Morocco, supporting its security and stability, and will assist with any international or regional events hosted by the country.
He stressed that the partnership between the two parties “is not circumstantial, but constitutes a strategic relationship based on trust and mutual cooperation.”
Furthermore, he indicated that the 93rd General Assembly saw the adoption of major resolutions aimed at strengthening INTERPOL’s capabilities in combating organized crime, enhancing information exchange, improving the quality of international notices, and deploying advanced digital platforms to raise the level of global security response.
Al-Raisi emphasized that these resolutions “are not mere technical measures, but a collective commitment to leave a clear mark on the international security system, to protect the innocent, and to combat crime wherever it exists.”
