The weather office forecasts strong wind gusts of 70–85 kilometers per hour in the provinces of Midelt, Jerada, Figuig, Nador, Driouch, and Boulemane from 03:00 a.m. to 21:00.
Morocco has been experiencing a snap of cold since mid-November.
The weather is also accompanied by rainfall distributed across several provinces.
Good rainfall days also mean a good agricultural season, as the North African kingdom has been witnessing dry seasons for at least six years.
The drought has affected Morocco’s agricultural crops as well as water dams.
According to recent data from the Ministry of Equipment, recent rainfall helped improve storage levels at key dams in Morocco.
According to the data, Kenitra province witnessed impressive results at the El M’nâa Sebou dam, which gained over 1.52 million cubic meters and now operates at 91.4% capacity — one of the highest levels reported.
The data shows that Al Massira dam in Settat province also recorded the largest single increase at approximately 1.65 million cubic meters.
