Morocco’s Ministry of Higher Education announced the launch of the 2026 common entrance exam for medical, pharmacy, and dental schools. The ministerial circular n° 04/1361, dated June 18, sets out the full calendar, conditions, and seat allocations for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The preselection threshold stands at 12/20. It remains unchanged from the 2025 session, after an exceptional rise to 13/20 in 2024. The score is calculated using a weighted formula: 75% of the national baccalaureate exam grade and 25% of the regional exam grade. Holders of foreign baccalaureate diplomas must meet the same 12/20 minimum based on their overall average.

A total of 7,340 places are open to Moroccan students, both civilian and military. Of these, 5,790 are allocated to general medicine, 1,090 to pharmacy, and 460 to dentistry. An additional 5% quota per faculty is reserved for foreign students not residing in Morocco.

The seats are distributed across 15 faculties nationwide. Rabat leads with 1,270 places in medicine and pharmacy and 180 in dentistry. Casablanca follows with 900 in medicine and pharmacy and 190 in dentistry. Marrakech has 800, Fez 860, Oujda 630, Agadir 570, and Tanger 550. Laayoune receives 310 places. Newer faculties in Guelmim, Kenitra, and Settat receive 140, 250, and 250 places respectively. Errachidia gets 200 and Beni Mellal 240.

Registration is open exclusively through the national platform cursussup.gov.ma from June 19 to July 10. Candidates must rank their three preferred fields – medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry – in order of priority. Geographic zoning based on the province of baccalaureate completion applies. No changes to preferences are permitted after the deadline.

Candidates holding foreign baccalaureate diplomas must upload their documents on the platform by July 10 at the latest. Required documents include a copy of the diploma, an equivalence decision, a transcript showing the overall average, and a copy of the national ID card.

Preselection results will be published by July 16. The written exam takes place on Saturday, July 18. It covers four subjects – natural sciences, physics, chemistry, and mathematics – each with a coefficient of 1. The exam lasts two hours. Candidates may sit the test in Arabic, French, or English. Any score below 3/20 in a single subject results in automatic elimination.

Results for the main admission list are expected by July 21. Physical enrollment for admitted candidates runs on July 28, 29, and 31. A second round follows on August 4, when waiting lists and revised preferences are announced. Enrollment for that round is scheduled for August 5, 6, and 7.

Eligible candidates must be enrolled in the second year of baccalaureate for the 2025-2026 school year or hold a baccalaureate from the 2024-2025 session. Both must be in the Sciences Mathématiques or Sciences Expérimentales tracks.

Studies across all three fields last six years, leading to a doctorate in medicine, pharmacy, or dentistry.
