Morocco Takes Part in 51st AU Permanent Representatives Committee Ordinary Session

The 51st Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representative Committee of the African Union (AU) kicked off on Monday at the headquarters of the pan-African organization in Addis Ababa, with Morocco participating.

The Kingdom is represented in this session, which runs until January 30, by a delegation led by Morocco’s ambassador and permanent representative to the AU and the UN-ECA, Mohamed Arrouchi.

This session is mainly set to examine the agenda items of the 48th ordinary session of the AU Executive Council (February 11-12) and the 39th ordinary session of the Union’s heads of state and government summit (February 14-15).

The session is also set to examine the strategic and institutional reports mainly relating to the implementation of the AU theme for 2025 on justice and the roadmap for the AU theme for 2026 on guaranteeing a sustainable water supply and safe sanitation.

It is also set to examine the activity reports of the AU’s sub-committees of permanent representatives and technical committees.
