In a bid to examine the means of bolstering cooperation in transport between Morocco and Poland, Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, held a meeting, on Tuesday in Rabat, with the Chairman of the Morocco-Poland Parliamentary Friendship Group, Marcin Gwozdz, who is paying a visit to the Kingdom at the head of a large parliamentary delegation.
The meeting provided an opportunity to underline the positive dynamic in relations between Morocco and Poland, as well as the strategic importance of promoting bilateral cooperation in transport and logistics, as key levers to economic development and the reinforcing of connectivity and integration between Europe and Africa.
It also served as an opportunity to review Morocco’s experience in developing transport and logistics infrastructure, mainly the project to extend the high-speed railway, expanding and modernizing the Kingdom’s airports and promoting sustainable transport.
The two sides also examined the means of establishing operational partnerships and intensifying the exchange of expertise and good practices in the fields of transport and logistics, as well as the prospects of bolstering air and maritime links.
In this regard, Kayouh told the press that the Ministry of Transport and Logistics is working to reopen the Casablanca-Warsaw air link in the near future as part of the development of the Royal Air Maroc fleet.
The minister emphasized that international passenger traffic between Morocco and Poland reached 210,535 travelers in 2025, compared to 150,873 in 2024, an increase of nearly 40%, noting that these figures reflect the growing importance of the Polish market for Morocco.
For his part, Gwozdz expressed his country’s interest in the opportunities offered by the Kingdom in the fields of transport and logistics, highlighting the Kingdom’s strategic position and its key role as a logistics hub between Europe and Africa.
In this regard, he stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest.
At the end of the meeting, both parties stressed the need to continue coordination and consultation in order to consolidate a solid and lasting Moroccan-Polish partnership in the fields of transport and logistics, with a view to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
