The Ministry of the Interior has categorically denied false information circulating on social media and several websites regarding an alleged notice addressed to schools establishments about a so-called ‘child abduction phenomenon.’
In a statement, the ministry noted that false information has circulated in the last few hours on social media platforms and websites concerning an alleged notice addressed to schools on a supposed “child abduction phenomenon,” reiterating its categorical denial of such claims.
The same source stressed that the circulating information is entirely unfounded, affirming that the ministry has not issued any notice in this regard to educational institutions or to any other party.
The information disseminated in this context consists merely of malicious allegations and baseless rumors spread without verification or recourse to recognized official sources, the statement added.
Reaffirming its constant commitment to informing public opinion, the Interior Ministry calls on citizens and various media outlets to carefully verify the accuracy of information related to public matters through recognized official sources, and to refrain from disseminating or relaying unreliable information that could cause confusion, anxiety, and panic among families and the public at large, the statement concluded.
