Police officers in Settat arrested a repeat offender on Sunday morning, based on precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), on suspicion of inflicting physical violence on his minor son.
National Security services reacted swiftly and with the utmost seriousness to media reports of physical violence inflicted on a minor in the city of Ben Ahmed by a 42-year-old individual, who is reportedly the child’s father, according to a statement by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), specifying that the suspect was identified and apprehended in the city of Settat.
The suspect is currently the subject of a judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine all the circumstances surrounding these criminal acts, while the 9-year-old victim is receiving the necessary medical and psychological support, the same source added.
