The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, received on Tuesday at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta the new ambassador of HM King Mohammed VI, Redouane Houssaini, who presented his credentials as Morocco’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Indonesia.
During the audience, Houssaini conveyed HM the King’s brotherly greetings to the Indonesian President, along with His best wishes for good health, prosperity, and well-being to the friendly Indonesian people, according to a statement from the Moroccan Embassy.
The Ambassador also reaffirmed the Kingdom of Morocco’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Indonesia, building on the strategic partnership agreement signed between the two countries in 2023, which serves as an ambitious roadmap to elevate bilateral cooperation to a higher level, the statement added.
For his part, the Indonesian President asked Houssaini to convey his warm greetings to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, along with his best wishes for continued progress, prosperity, and development for the Moroccan people under the Sovereign’s leadership.
He also praised the excellent friendly relations uniting the two countries, reaffirming his determination to continue deepening those ties to serve the mutual interests of both nations, promote South-South cooperation, and foster sustainable and inclusive development.
Following the ceremony, Houssaini emphasized in a press statement the importance the Kingdom places on cooperation with Indonesia in the fields of education, intercultural dialogue, and youth exchanges.
He also highlighted opportunities to strengthen economic partnerships in strategic sectors addressing current global challenges, notably food security, fertilizers, sustainable agriculture, climate change adaptation, and renewable energy.
