Search operations for the two U.S. soldiers, who went missing while participating in the African Lion 2026 exercise, are still ongoing, according to official sources from the Royal Armed Forces.
The two U.S. soldiers have been missing since May 2 near a cliff at Cap Draa, in the Tan-Tan region, the same source notes.
Moroccan, U.S. and other assets participating in the African Lion exercise launched coordinated search and rescue operations, involving ground, air, and maritime assets.
