The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency continues the distribution of food aid to social welfare institutions and needy Palestinian families in the Holy City during of the month of Ramadan.

At the Hassan II School in Oued El Jawz, the “Ramadan Basket” was distributed to representatives of social welfare institutions caring for orphans and the elderly.

In the village of Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem, the Agency’s team distributed food baskets to families registered with the Sheikh Ayoub El Ansari Zawiya.

This operation benefited more than 400 people, including those in social assistance institutions located in various areas of the city, including the Old City, Oued El Jawz, Sheikh Jarrah, Silwan, Jabal Mukaber, Shu’fat, Al-Issawiya, and Beit Safafa, among others.

The operation also included the daily distribution of hot meals, “Iftar Ramadan,” to 700 individuals from families listed with the Sheikh Ayoub El Ansari Zawiya.

The goal is to enable the leadership of this zawiya to continue its charitable activities, in light of the difficult situation in Jerusalem and its surroundings, which has led to a deterioration in the living conditions of many families due to job losses following the events of October 7, 2023.

On this occasion, representatives of the social welfare institutions and members of the beneficiary families praised this solidarity initiative launched by the Agency each Ramadan.

They described it as a “commendable gesture” that will help alleviate the suffering of Jerusalem people facing difficult living conditions, in statements to the press.

On the first day of Ramadan, the Agency launched this aid operation in the village of Nabi Samuel and Al Judeira for underprivileged Palestinian families.

It has also implemented several other social projects in the city to improve the social conditions of Jerusalem’s residents and support their resilience, in line with the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
