A government council, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, is set to convene on Thursday, according to a statement from his office.
At the beginning of its proceedings, the Council will examine a draft law on school education, followed by a draft decree-law amending the law establishing the National Agency for Water and Forests (ANEF).
The Council will then review two draft decrees, the first concerning disability or retirement pensions paid by the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), and the second relating to the implementation of certain provisions of the Dahir Law on the social security system.
The Council will also examine an agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Malawi on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, signed in Laayoune on July 16, 2024, along with a draft law approving the said agreement.
At the end of its proceedings, the Council will conclude its session by reviewing proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution, the statement added.
After the Council’s proceedings, the government will hold a meeting dedicated to reviewing certain legislative proposals, according to the same source.
