Ismael Saibari, the new Bayern Munich signing, touched down in Munich on Wednesday at 9:56 a.m., converging reports have indicated.
The Moroccan midfielder arrived in a private jet from Belgium at the Oberpfaffenhofen special airport alongside his family and his agent Ali Dursun. He joins the club from PSV Eindhoven for around €50 million.
Saibari and his companions were greeted right after their arrival by Bayern Munich’s manager Sonny Scherer and the club’s media team who were there to capture the new signing’s first moments.
According to German outlet BILD, the Bavarian team will host an official welcoming ceremony today in honor of the Moroccan midfielder.
Saibari, who marked a great performance during the 2026 World Cup with the Atlas Lions by scoring 3 goals in three consecutive group stage matches, signed with Bayern a contract running until 2031. And now he has shown up in Munich 5 days before the start of the pre-season training on July 20, protecting his excitement and readiness to get down to business with the German champions.
But Bayern fans will most probably have to wait a bit longer to witness the 25-year-old’s official debut with his new club. He suffered a thigh injury during Morocco’s World Cup round of 16 game against Canada. And there are still no official updates on the length of his projected absence from the pitch.
The diagnosis is expected soon from the Bayern team’s doctor Dr.Jochen Hahne, who will determine the timeline for Saibari’s return to the field.
