Morocco punched its ticket to the quarterfinals of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday, securing a spot in the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar with a 3-0 win over Tanzania in Group A play.
Ilies Belmokhtar broke the deadlock in the 76th minute, and Abdellah Ouazane followed with a quickfire brace in the 81st and 84th minutes to seal the victory.
The win lifts Morocco to the top of Group A with seven points, edging out Zambia on goal differential. Zambia defeated Uganda 2-1 in the other group match, held at Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
