El Yazid Er-Radi, whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, appointed on Tuesday as the new Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Ulema, expressed his immense honor and great pride in the High Royal Trust.
In a statement to the press following the audience granted to him by the Sovereign at the Royal Palace in Rabat, Er-Radi said he was deeply honored by this Royal Audience and his appointment to this position, expressing his gratitude for this High Benevolence.
He added that the Almighty has endowed the Kingdom of Morocco with the Institution of the Commandery of the Faithful (Imarat Al-Mouminine), which oversees religious affairs as well as the daily lives of the faithful.
In this regard, he stressed that His Majesty the King, Commander of the Faithful, Protector of worship and religion, spares no effort in promoting the Holy Islamic religion.
