Morocco reached a new all-time record of 1.2 million tourist arrivals in January, registering a growth of 27% compared to the same month in 2024, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy.
“Morocco is still building on its momentum at the start of 2025, crossing the symbolic milestone of one million tourists in January for the first time. With 1.2 million visitors, the destination recorded a remarkable 27% increase compared to January 2024 (272,000 additional tourists),” the Ministry said in a press release.
This performance testifies to the growing strength of Morocco as a destination and confirms the relevance of the strategic initiatives deployed in recent years, consolidating the Kingdom’s position on the world tourism scene, the same source added.
Quoted in the press release, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, stated that “this all-time record of over one million tourists in January establishes Morocco as a true four-season destination.”
“This emerging trend is the concrete expression of a major qualitative objective in our roadmap, which rightly places experience at the heart of the offer, to enable tourists to discover authentic experiences across the Kingdom’s seasons and regions,” she added.
