Bahrain reiterated in New York its “constant” position in support of Morocco’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Kingdom of Bahrain reiterates its consistent position in support of Morocco’s efforts aimed at preserving its security and territorial integrity, affirmed the Bahraini Representative during the regular session of the UN Committee of 24 (C-24), held from June 9 to 20.
The diplomat also emphasized that her country reaffirmed its support to the Kingdom’s serious efforts to find a political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue, based on the Autonomy initiative and within the framework of Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Based on its consistent position of support for Morocco, the Kingdom of Bahrain opened its Consulate General in the city of Laayoune in December 2020,” the speaker recalled.
The diplomat further praised the efforts made by the United Nations Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy to the Moroccan Sahara, aimed at achieving a realistic, pragmatic, and lasting political solution based on compromise and within the framework of Morocco’s national sovereignty.
