The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, received on Thursday in Rabat a delegation from the German federal parliament (Bundestag), currently visiting the Kingdom on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During this meeting, Talbi Alami reviewed the major reforms and projects carried out by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and praised Germany’s supportive stance regarding the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and the autonomy proposal, according to a press release from the House of Representatives.
On the same occasion, he highlighted the strength of the cooperation ties between the legislative institutions of the two countries through the exchange of experiences, expertise, and parliamentary working visits, as well as the convergence of their positions within various international parliamentary bodies.
The two parties also exchanged views on issues and topics of mutual interest, particularly matters relating to family, women, youth, the environment, and renewable energies. In this regard, Talbi Alami highlighted the achievements made in these areas under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
In a statement to the press, MP Sanae Abdi, a member of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with the Maghreb States and spokesperson for economic cooperation and development in the Bundestag, indicated that the objective of this visit is to strengthen parliamentary cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy and human development. She also praised the progress achieved by the Kingdom of Morocco on several levels, as well as her country’s willingness to exchange experiences and skills.
