The unique success of Morocco’s humanitarian operation in support of the people of Gaza is thanks to the leadership and stature of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, “the only Head of State capable of engaging in dialogue with various actors in the region, thanks to His personal aura and the respect for His enlightened international policy,” French political scientist Jérôme Besnard emphasized on Wednesday.
The professor of law at Paris-Cité University told MAP that “the recognition expressed by the Palestinian Authority after this new gesture of Royal solidarity is the best evidence of Palestinians’ highly positive perception of Morocco’s unwavering solidarity with their legitimate cause.”
Recalling that the fate of Palestinian civilians trapped in the Gaza Strip is currently “very worrying,” Besnard noted that Morocco is succeeding in transporting and delivering aid directly to the local population, where other countries merely carry out airdrops, sometimes at random.
As a display of the constant support and tangible solidarity of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, towards the brotherly Palestinian people, the Sovereign has issued His Very High Instructions for the dispatch of additional humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates said in a statement that this aid contains 100 tons of foodstuffs and medicines, specifically intended for vulnerable categories, particularly children and infants.
The Sovereign insisted that this humanitarian aid, like the previous ones, be transported by air and delivered urgently and directly.
