The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks on Thursday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ghana, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on the sidelines of the Conference on the Demobilization, Disarmament, and Reintegration of Child Soldiers, taking place on November 20-21 in Rabat.
In this context, Okudzeto Ablakwa praised the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Morocco on the issue of demobilization, disarmament, and reintegration of child soldiers, and expressed his country’s readiness to support Morocco’s efforts to establish an African framework to tackle this phenomenon, which primarily affects the African continent.
The two ministers welcomed the strong bonds of fraternity and solidarity linking the two countries and reaffirmed their shared determination to make Morocco-Ghana cooperation an exceptional model of inter-African cooperation, based on values of solidarity and mutual support.
During their meeting, they reviewed ongoing cooperation initiatives between the two countries in various fields and discussed ways to further deepen bilateral relations, notably through the upcoming 2nd Session of the Morocco-Ghana Joint Cooperation Commission.
At the regional and international levels, the two ministers expressed satisfaction at the convergence of their views on issues of common interest and agreed to strengthen coordination and mutual support within regional and international organizations.
