The minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, held, on Tuesday, a meeting in Marrakech with his peer from the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dačić.
The exchange enabled to reaffirm the mutual will to strengthen the bilateral partnership and boost cooperation between the two countries in the fields linked to security, the ministry of the Interior said in a statement.
Discussions also delved into several shared priorities, mainly security and operational cooperation, managing migration flows, as well as training and the exchange of capacities.
The two officials emphasized the importance of further developing the sharing of information, boosting institutional capacities and promoting joint actions adapted to current challenges.
In the same vein, the two ministers expressed their determination to deepen the existing cooperation and provide impetus to new initiatives at the service of stability, security and development.
For his part, Laftit recalled the importance of coordination between the different partners and reaffirmed, to his Serbian peer, the Kingdom of Morocco’s commitment to an active, solidary and responsible cooperation, at the service of regional stability and global security.
