Moroccan, Italian Justice Ministers Confer on Boosting Judicial Cooperation

Strengthening of cooperation in the field of justice was the focus of talks on Friday in Rabat between minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi and his Italian counterpart Carlo Nordio.

During this meeting, the two sides reviewed various issues of mutual interest, while assessing the results of judicial cooperation between the two sides and ways to enshrine it, in particular by strengthening bilateral coordination channels.

In a statement to the press following the meeting, Nordio highlighted the mutual trust between the Italian Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco, reiterating his country’s willingness to further strengthen this fruitful and constructive cooperation, particularly in the field of justice.

This meeting, he said, demonstrates the depth of friendship and strong cooperation between the two countries, affirming that Morocco and Italy share a common history, strong ties of friendship, and common interests.

For his part, Ouahbi praised the quality of Morocco-Italy relations in various fields, noting that the two sides had discussed several common issues with complete clarity and transparency.

He also called for further bolstering this partnership between the two countries in the upcoming months, especially given Italy’s support for Morocco on many issues.
