His Majesty King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolences and compassion to the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, following the passing of his father, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
In this message, the Sovereign states that He learned “with profound sorrow and deep regret the painful news of the loss sustained by your illustrious princely family of your revered father, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, may God surround him with His holy mercy and welcome him into His vast paradise among His blessed servants.”
In this sorrowful circumstance, His Majesty the King expresses to His Highness, and through him to his illustrious princely family and the brotherly Qatari people, His deepest condolences and sincere feelings of compassion following this cruel loss, bowing to the unstoppable will of the Divine, and imploring the Almighty to grant him patience and solace.
In this painful ordeal, the Sovereign recalls the distinguished achievements of the great deceased in service of the brotherly State of Qatar, particularly on the path of its modernization and the development of its economic and political capacities. This enabled the nation to occupy a prominent position and effectively contribute to defending just Arab causes and consolidating the bonds of Arab and Islamic solidarity.
Furthermore, His Majesty the King states that the Kingdom of Morocco will remember, with great esteem and consideration, the strong bonds of brotherhood and active solidarity that the late deceased maintained with the Kingdom in times of both prosperity and adversity. The Sovereign emphasizes that the deceased never failed to extend all forms of support to Morocco, his second home, whether regarding its development projects or its just causes.
In this message, the Sovereign prays to the Almighty to grant the deceased the greatest of rewards for the commendable services and pioneering achievements accomplished in the service of his country and his nation, to encompass him in His infinite mercy, and to welcome him into His vast Paradise.
His Majesty the King also beseeches the Most High to protect His Highness and his honorable family from all misfortune, and to perpetually bless him with health, tranquility, and a long life.
“Please accept, Your Highness and dear brother, the expression of My most sincere sentiments of sympathy and compassion, as well as the assurance of My highest consideration and profound affection,” writes the Sovereign.
