The Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, held on Thursday in Rabat talks with the French Minister of Culture, Catherine Pégard, as part of the Morocco-France High Level Meeting.
During this meeting, the two ministers highlighted the advanced level of Moroccan-French ties in the field of culture, stressing the importance of bolstering bilateral cooperation so that it can meet the ambitions of the two countries and Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Excellency President Emmanuel Macron.
Discussions also delved into several items of mutual interest, mainly the exchanges between the two countries’ economic ecosystems in the cultural sector, the Moroccan presence in the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, Morocco’s accession to the Fund for Authors and Producers from Africa, the development of cooperation between Morocco and the Arab World Institute in Paris, as well as cooperation in the fields of archeological research, the gaming industry and cinema.
These items represent the gist of the cooperation agreements that will be signed between the two countries in the field of culture, as part of the Morocco-France High Level Meeting.
The meeting also falls within the framework of the Reinforced Exceptional Partnership and the renewed momentum in the relations between the two countries.
