The Morocco-Nigeria African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP) is a pivotal project of crucial importance capable of contributing to the integration of the West African region, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomothy Kabba stated Sunday in Lungi, Sierra Leone.
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the 69th Ordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Kabba expressed his country’s gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for this initiative, which brings hope to the entire West African region.
In this regard, he welcomed Sunday’s signing of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) governing the development of the AAGP gas pipeline, marking the ECOWAS countries’ commitment to this flagship project.
“This is an excellent project initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI that will benefit all countries in the region by helping create genuine economic momentum for the well-being of the people of West Africa,” he concluded.
