A delegation from the Amadeus Institute, led by its President, Brahim Fassi Fihri, held talks on Wednesday in Beijing with senior Chinese officials as part of a working visit to China.

The discussions, conducted with Zhai Jun, China’s Special Envoy for the Middle East, and Zhou Pingjian, Vice President of the state-run Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, focused primarily on prospects for strengthening the Sino-Moroccan Strategic Partnership on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its signing by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and President Xi Jinping in May 2016.

The two sides also reviewed several issues of common interest related to geopolitical and geoeconomic developments at both the regional and international levels.

The talks further addressed ways to enhance institutional dialogue between the two countries, as well as the participation of senior Chinese officials in major events organized by the Amadeus Institute, foremost among them the MEDays International Forum.

The visit forms part of the ongoing efforts to consolidate strategic dialogue between stakeholders from both countries, in line with the Royal Vision promoting an active and structured multi-partnership approach between the Kingdom and its key international partners, in the service of stability, shared prosperity and a more balanced and inclusive international order.
