By Order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, may God assist Him, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Coordinator of the Offices and Services of the FAR General Staff, chaired on Thursday at the Officers’ Mess Circle in Rabat, a luncheon offered by His Majesty the King on the 70th anniversary of the Royal Armed Forces’ (FAR) creation.
Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone, before reviewing a detachment of the Headquarters Battalion that was performing the honors, according to a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
His Royal Highness was then greeted by the Head of Government, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, the Lieutenant General, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Brigadier General, Chief of the 3rd Bureau of the FAR, the Air Division General, Inspector of the Royal Air Force, the Rear Admiral, Inspector of the Royal Navy, and the Colonel-Major, Deputy Commander of the Rabat-Salé Garrison.
Attending the luncheon were the Head of Government, Speakers of both Houses of Parliament, Advisors to His Majesty the King, the First President of the Court of Cassation, Deputy President of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, the King’s Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, members of the government, presidents of constitutional bodies, members of the Royal Office, senior Officers of the FAR General Staff, foreign military Attachés accredited in Rabat, and other civilian and military dignitaries.
The 70th anniversary of FAR’s creation was celebrated at various Parade Grounds, Garrisons, Units, and Contingents of the FAR through ceremonies marked, in particular, by the raising of the flag, the reading of the Order of the Day addressed by His Majesty the King to Royal Armed Forces members, the presentation of decorations, and military parades.
