under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has shown the entire world that young people are capable of assuming leadership roles and serving as role models when given the conditions for success, Deputy Minister in charge of the Budget Fouzi Lekjaa said on Wednesday in Rabat.
Lekjaa, who also serves as president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), noted during remarks on the sidelines of a meeting of the Public Finance Oversight Committee in the House of Representatives that this strategic policy began with the Royal Address delivered at the first National Sports Conference and was reinforced by the creation of the Mohammed VI Football Academy, after which football’s rise continued throughout the Kingdom.
He emphasized that the exceptional results achieved by the national football team confirm that it “is not far from world leadership,” adding that a winning culture has become a well-established norm within the national squad.
He further added that all members of the national team are aware of the responsibility they bear and are determined to live up to the expectations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people, assuring that players and coaching staff will spare no effort to go as far as possible in the World Cup.
Lekjaa, on behalf of the national team and the FRMF, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the constant care and ongoing support he has shown for national football, emphasizing that this support serves as a stable source of motivation for everyone on the national team and within the Federation to fulfill their duties and step up their efforts.
