The Ghanaian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, welcomed on Thursday in Rabat the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 on the Sahara.
During his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the Conference on the Demobilization, Disarmament, and Reintegration of Child Soldiers, taking place in the Moroccan capital on November 20-21, Okudzeto Ablakwa praised the adoption, on October 31, 2025, of UN Security Council Resolution 2797 on the Sahara issue, noting that it aims to provide a definitive solution with clear parameters and a precise timeline.
The Ghanaian Foreign Minister also congratulated the UN Security Council for its leadership on this matter.
