The medical aid, ordered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the Palestinian population of Gaza, is a gesture of generosity that aligns with a well-established Royal tradition, emphasized Jean-Yves de Cara, Professor Emeritus at Sorbonne University Paris Cité.
“This gesture of generosity, largely financed from the Sovereign’s personal funds, is not surprising. It reflects a well-established Royal tradition and illustrates the effective realism of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee,” affirmed this distinguished jurist in a statement to MAP, expressing “great admiration for the actions of the Sovereign that follow in the footsteps of His illustrious ancestors.”
Under the leadership of His Majesty the King, Morocco also undertakes highly appreciated concrete actions, notably through Bayt Mal Al-Quds under the Al-Quds Committee, “in a perspective of calming and supporting the suffering Palestinian people,” noted de Cara. “It is the mark of a great Sovereign with a big heart.”
His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, had given High Instructions to deploy a humanitarian operation of medical aid for the Palestinian population of Gaza.
Transported through the same unprecedented land route used during the food aid operation deployed on HM the King’s High Instructions last Ramadan, this aid consists of 40 tonnes of medical products, including equipment for burn care, surgical and trauma emergencies, as well as essential medicines.
