Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has confirmed that the final list of players for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be announced on Tuesday, May 26.
In an interview, Arryadia Ouahbi explained that the technical staff has scheduled an initial training camp from May 22 to May 26, reserved for players included in the provisional squad.
After that, the Atlas Lions will move into a full preparation camp at the Mohammed VI Football Complex starting May 29.
Morocco will compete in Group C, alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti, with their opening match against Brazil seen as one of the most anticipated games of the tournament.
Ouahbi also addressed concerns over player fitness. He stressed that no member of the squad has been ruled out of the World Cup.
The coaching and medical teams are working closely to ensure injured players recover in time.
“Thankfully, no player is out of the World Cup,” Ouahbi said. “We can recover all the injured players. The important thing is to stay calm and allow them to complete treatment and rehabilitation properly.”
He added that two conditions must be met before a player can return: full medical clearance and restored physical readiness. “The injury must be completely gone, and the player must regain full fitness before being available,” he explained.
The staff continues to monitor the health of the squad, aiming to have every player in optimal condition before the tournament begins.
The focus is on careful preparation rather than rushing recoveries to enter the World Cup with a complete and fit roster.
