Morocco’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics, the Deposit and Management Fund (CDG) and CDG Incept have signed Thursday in Rabat, a convention aimed at revolutionizing Morocco’s road transport sector through total digitization.

The convention, signed by Minister of Transport and Logistics Abdessamad Kayouh and  Director General of the CDG Khalid Safir, marks the beginning of a six-month transition toward a fully digital ecosystem for freight and international transport.

The initiative aligns with the High Royal Orientations and national priorities for digitizing public services, directly contributing to the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy. Under the new framework, transport companies and drivers will transition to a comprehensive digital platform for tracking critical real-time data such as vehicle speed, total distance traveled, and precise geolocation.

“The objective is to integrate the transport system into the digital sphere to facilitate access to relevant information for all users,” Kayouh told the press on the occasion, noting that they will no longer need to physically visit the Ministry at the central or provincial levels.

For his part, Safir spoke of this convention as the first step in the Ministry’s support for the digitization of its procedures, adding that the initiative will help improve this working framework while simultaneously ensuring compliance with international standards for cross-border transport.

Through this partnership, the parties reaffirm a collective commitment to modern, innovative, and high-performance governance based on institutional cooperation and the pooling of expertise, in order to foster a modern and high-performance governance model that serves both citizens and transport professionals.
